Jon's San Juan Island Vacation

Here are some pictures from a recent sailing trip my wife, Raechel and I took over Labor Day weekend to the San Juan Islands. Neither of us had visited before and were amazed by the beautiful scenery and amazing creatures. We started our adventure with a short ferry ride from Anacortes to Friday Harbor where we met up with crew of All Aboard Sailing and boarded the sailing vessel Peniel. During our trip were blessed to see many different creatures including a Peregrine Falcon, various bald eagles, harbor seals, a Steller sea lion and two different pods of Orcas which included a rare white orca. If you live in the Pacific Northwest and have never been to the San Juan Islands it is definitely worth a weekend. --Jonathan Allen
